The industrial centrifugal decanter is a machine designed to continuously separate solids and liquids present in a mixture, with high performance and great ability to adapt to real operating conditions. The operating principle is based on the high-speed rotation of the cylindrical-conical drum, which generates a centrifugal force capable of pushing the solids towards the external wall while the liquid phase remains in the central area. The internal screw, which rotates at a slightly different speed than the drum, progressively conveys the solids towards the discharge, while the clarified product is continuously evacuated through special openings on the opposite side.
The possibility of regulating rotation speed, torque and differential speed allows the process to be calibrated to the specific characteristics of the material treated, guaranteeing stable separation and more efficient flow management even in the presence of sudden variations in the composition. The control systems integrated into the CBB Decanter machines monitor the operating parameters in real time, intervening automatically to maintain constant separation quality and reduce the need for manual supervision.
